Saturdays at 5 p.m. – Our Saturday Eucharist service that is perfect for those days when your spirit needs quieter prayer and a more informal community gathering. We still stand together to hear and respond to God and the work God calls us to do in this world. We will still celebrate and receive the presence of the Lord in the sacramental bread and wine. But Saturday evenings bring the blessing of quiet simplicity. It’s hard to explain, but easy to experience. Come see for yourself.
Participation in our Saturday Eucharist is always “in person” as we do not zoom this service. Weather permitting, we will meet in the garden during July and August.
Sunday Eucharist at 10 a.m.is filled with music and reflection and communal prayer. The service is easy to follow, structured but not stiff, joyous but not pretentious. We stand together to give praise and thanks for all God’s gracious goodness to us. We reflect together on the Word of God. We exchange greetings of peace, and we gather around the Eucharistic table to receive the sacramental presence of Jesus. Having sung, prayer, reflected, and communed together, we are then sent out into the world to witness to the greatness and love of our God toward every person we meet.
Sunday worship includes special activities for the children in our midst. Participation is also available via zoom for those who can’t be with us in person in our lovely church building. Click here before 10 a.m. on Sundays to go to the zoom session.
Our Sunday worship is always followed by a brief time of fellowship. You see, our worship binds our hearts to those around us. Sharing a bit of time together after worship, getting to meet each other and hear each other’s stories helps strengthen that bond – especially when all of that is accompanied by a snack and a fresh cup of tea or coffee – or even a glass of water!
Tuesday Evening Prayer in the Garden – We gathering in the garden just before sun sets, to offer praise and thanks for the majesty and glory of God that surround us, and to place the concerns we carry into the hands of the Lord. What better way is there to end a summer day on LBI? We begin at 7:30 p.m. July 8th, 15th, and 22nd through August 12th; and at 7:00 p.m. July 29th, August 5th, and August 12th.
Eucharist with Healing Prayer, Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. from July 9th through August 13th. Bring with you (either in person or in your hearts) all those who neen God’s healing touch. We know so many in need. You will still carry these concerns in your heart after this service, but you are likely to carry them with a little more peace in your own heart when you leave.
