We plan Special Worship Services throughout the year, beginning in the season of Advent. Our Special Worship Services are usually both poignant and powerful, time swhen we recognize our total dependence upon God. We hope you will consider joining us for one of these upcoming Special Worship Servivces:
Our Advent Healing Service is scheduled at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7th. If you or somone you know is in need of healing, join us for this grace-filled service!
The Longest Night (Winter Solstice) Service, also known as a “Blue Christmas” service. This is always at 7 p.m. on the longest night of the year – which in 2023 will be Thursday, December 21st. The Longest Night Service helps us make peace with the losses we so keenly feel at the holiday season, particularly the losses of our family and friends who died over the last year, and those whose absence at the holiday time is deeply felt.
Our festive Christmas Vigil is a special Eucharist held at the opening of the Christmas celebration. Join us at 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 24th for a service of wonder and peace.
Christmas Morning Eucharist – 10 a.m. on Monday, December 25th! Though we are usually smaller in number on Christmas morning than at the Christmas Vigil Eucharist, we are no less joyous!
The New Year’s Eve Watch service, at 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 31st. This is not a Eucharist, but it is still a powerful event. As we close our 2023 and anticipate 2024, we join together in hope and in faith as we entrust our joys, hopes, concerns and fears – and those of our families, communities and world into the hands of our loving God.
